1. About Our Services

First Advisor is a licensed insurance broker that helps you compare, purchase and manage insurance products — including health, life/term, motor (car and bike), travel, home, business and investment-linked insurance — from our partner insurers. We act as an intermediary between you and the insurer(s); the insurance contract is between you and the respective insurer.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
• Information you provide during registration, quote generation or KYC must be true, accurate and complete.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, if any.

3. Nature of Information on the Platform

Product information, premium quotes, features and comparisons displayed on the Platform are based on data provided by the respective insurers and are for general guidance only. While we take reasonable care to keep this information accurate and current, First Advisor does not guarantee that it is free from error, and final terms are governed exclusively by the insurer's policy wording, sales brochure and customer information sheet, which you must read carefully before concluding a purchase.

Your decision to purchase any insurance product is made independently, at your own discretion, after your own due diligence on its suitability. First Advisor does not provide tax or investment advice; please consult your own advisors where relevant.

4. Premiums and Payments

• Premiums must be paid through the payment modes made available on the Platform.
• Policy issuance is subject to underwriting approval, document verification and acceptance by the respective insurer.
• Refunds, free-look cancellations and premium adjustments are governed by the applicable insurer's policy terms and IRDAI regulations, not solely by First Advisor.

5. Become a POSP / Advisor Partner

Users who register as a Point of Sales Person (POSP) or advisor partner through the Platform agree to comply with IRDAI's POSP guidelines, complete the mandated training/certification, and act in accordance with the applicable code of conduct. First Advisor reserves the right to approve, suspend or terminate any partner account for non-compliance.

6. Use of the Platform

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information during quote generation, KYC or claims.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other users' accounts, or data.
• Copy, reproduce, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell any part of the Platform's content without written permission.
• Upload viruses, malicious code, or interfere with the Platform's normal operation.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including the First Advisor name, logo, text, graphics, layout and software — is the property of First Advisor Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. No content may be copied or used without our prior written consent.

8. Third-Party Links and Insurer Websites

The Platform may contain links to insurer websites or other third-party platforms for your convenience. First Advisor is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of such third-party sites, and use of those sites is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, First Advisor shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the Platform, reliance on information displayed, or any act/omission of an insurer, including delays or denial of claims, which remain the sole responsibility of the respective insurer under the policy contract.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold First Advisor, its directors, employees and partners harmless from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Platform.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or misused the Platform in a manner harmful to us or other users.

12. Grievance Redressal

If you have a complaint regarding the Platform, a policy purchased through us, or a claim, please write to our Grievance Officer at the contact details in Section 15. We aim to acknowledge and address grievances in line with IRDAI's prescribed turnaround times under the Protection of Policyholders' Interests Regulations. If unresolved, you may escalate to the IRDAI Integrated Grievance Management System (IGMS) or the Insurance Ombudsman.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.

14. Changes to these Terms

First Advisor may update or modify these Terms at any time at its sole discretion, without prior notice. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. You are encouraged to review this page periodically.

16. Regulatory Disclaimer

First Advisor Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd. is a licensed Direct Insurance Broker (IRDAI License No. 584, valid till 07-02-2029). IRDAI and its officials do not engage in activities such as selling insurance policies, declaring bonuses, or investing premiums directly. If you receive suspicious phone calls or offers claiming to be from IRDAI, please file a police report. Insurance products displayed are subject to approval by the respective insurers.
